Default B18c into EG: Header, Cat...couple small swap questions

My friend and I are going to be swapping a 94-95 jdm b18c into his 94 Si hatchback this weekend. I've done as much reading on the subject as possible thusfar (i'm still learing about the EG). There are just a couple little questions that weren't answered w/ all my reading (I know these questions are probably asked a lot....so sorry for the newbie style post).

1) Will we need to modify the exhaust system? Jhp said that the motor will come w/ the whole exhaust manifold. Some of the write-ups i've read say that it bolts right up, others say the exhaust will need to be shortened/lengthened depending on your situation. Getting the exhaust modified isn't a big deal, but i'd just like to know before hand.

2) Will the stock civic cat have the proper flange to bolt up to the header we have? Or will we need a different cat and/or have any modifications done?

4) What radiator hoses will we need to buy (if any). Will they be GSR hoses? Del Sol hoses?

3) Since his car is an Si the only wires we have to add are for the knock sensor and for the IAB...correct? I'm sure we can figure this out by looking at the pinouts if needed, but I figured I'd ask anyway since I'm already here.

From the reading i've done the swap looks really straightforward. But if anyone has any tips/pointers....or anything strange that they found when they did theirs...please feel free to let me know.
Thanks guys!

Swap is very straight forward.

1. This doesnt matter. Just wait till you have everything in and see if they connect. If they dont big whoop.

2. I think the stock cat should bolt on fine.

3. Yep I only added two wires on my cx which I believe has similar wiring.

4. I used GSR hoses. They worked fine but had to be tightened down really hard at the radiator.

Good luck.

thanks for the info. I realize that its not a big deal if we have to modify the exhuast. Mainly i would just like to know before hand. We are pretty strapped for time, and if thats something we can avoid, it'd be nice to know we have extra time for other things.

you *think* the stock cat will work? did you use your stock cat on your swap? or did you swap it out for something else?

thanks again.

I used my stock Civic cat for my swap, also used a GSR DC header. I had to add a little piping to make it reach.

do you happen to know if the usdm GSR DC header is the same length as the jdm gsr header?

thanks
