Default LSD Options for f22?

This may be somewhat of a newbie question.

What LSDs are available for the f22 tranny?

Also, can I just buy the LSD and put it in the tranny, or does it require a whole new tranny?

btw, it's a manual 94 ex.

I recommend using a Quaife limited slip, or an LSD from a JDM H22 tranny.

Do you have a recommendation on where to get the JDM?

I'd recommend new tapered bearings $70 to go with it.

Heres my quaife for my f22. Guaranteed for life. I'd trust it more than the jdm.

This may be a dump question, but to which bearing are you refering? Bearings in the tranny or in the hub? Or some other bearing I'm not aware of?

Great site, niedejb!

If I'm not mistaken, they're the bearings that go over the ends of each differential output.

Yup, I have the same unit .. I love it ... and it is the differential bearings that you want to get replaced I believe.

and what ever you do .. if you happen to get into a spin for some reason, STOP your car .. don't try to gain control. The Quaife will tear you tranny apart. (This hasn't happened to me, just what the shop told me since I auto-cross my car).

What makes a Quaife LSD different than a Honda LSD that it will tear your tranny apart?

Yep.

Its easier to buy the bearings than to pull the old ones off (at least for me it was).
