only owner of the car i can honestly say i havent bagged on my car 2 much maybe alittle when i got it nothing extremely stupid...It just started blinking and i just had the oil changed but after a few kms it started blinking??anyone help?

 

It's hard to say what the problem is without knowing what code you're throwing.

blinking? maybe thats your maintenence required light.

check engine light should never blink unless in diagnostic mode.

 

you right.. its probably the maintanence light - cel should not blink

hmm well thats weird casue i just had the oil changed and crap.... i guess ill just take it back to the dealership where i get it changed..is it true even if yer gas tank lid is fully sealed or oil rod isnt in properly that light would be on...thx anyhow

 

yes, it is true - but did you read any replies above? is this your maint. light? and check for codes - its easy to do - just so you know for yourself..

 

. theres a maint light reset button. its green. under the dash. below the steering wheel.

It is possible for your CEL to blink a misfire would cause this
check for any codes stored in your PCM memory if it is your CEL that your talking about.

 

No its definitly the engine light...i guess ill try what dc2..thx for everyones responces

 

u were so ******* right!! outlaw R it is my 4th cyclinder that is misfireing i think i counted many times came up with 74....ahh thx guys!!! anyone know how much this could cost?

Did you take a look at your plug wires first? If they are plugged in GOOD, then the next step is to pull the plug and look at it, it could easily be fouled. Don't take your car to the dealership when you might be able to solve the problem yourself. Just observe things first..

Also, have you washed your engine bay lately? You can get moisture into the top of the spark plug hole which can cause a misfire. You'd need to blow the water out with an air compressor.

I have a feeling you'll find out more about it when you pull the #4 plug..

 

Yes, i have washed my engine bay latley!!..ill have to take a look at that after work HMMM...anyhow i still got warrenty so it would cost me nothing...but ill take a look thx

 

for all your newbie outhere if the check engine light blinks that means that you have a missed fire. check to see if your wires aren't touching anything and check spark plugs

 

so if it is water that has gotten in there..how would i know and how would i get rid of it?

 

check ur code but whatever it is is emission related

 

a blinking CEL means a misfire code...

shut it off, pull the codes, 71 for cylinder 1 misfires, 72 for cylinder 2 and so forth

 

i know the code its cycliner 4 that is mis fireing and i believe water has gotten into it and i neeed to know how to get it out??it is propbley running through the oil right so maybe if u just changed the oil would that help?
