Default cramy stuff on bottom of oil cap

when i start my car and let if run for a few minutes, not at normal operating temp, sometimes there is a white oily substance on the cap. first i thought it was my head gasket, but i am not losing any coolant. it is only happens when the engine is cold, once it is warm it doesnt happen. i also drained the oil when that stuff was on the cap and it cam out like regular oil. please help.
