Default Eliminating wheel gap?

How much of a drop would I need to eliminate the wheel gap on my EF with 16inch rims on. The reason I'm asking this question is because my car currently has 17inch rims on some no name coilovers with blown out OEM shocks. I plan on selling the 17's and replacing the shocks with some Kyb AGX adjustables. I need to know how much a drop so I can buy springs also. Thanks for the help

The no name coilovers didnt lower it enough? hmm.. thats odd... oh well, with the 16" wheels i would say anywhere from 1.75-2.25 would be a good drop.. if you are looking for springs, then there are a countless number of companies that make springs in that amount of drop for civic/crxs. If you are looking for coilovers, i would go with ground control or skunk 2. Make sure you get those shocks~!

thats why im selling the 17's and getting some 15's or 16's. the no name i think matrix coilovers did get rid the gap but i want to run a spring/shock combo instead of coilovers. just want to know how much of a drop spring i should get i mihgt just get the shocks and put them on the no name coilovers, i just dont want these coilovers to blow the shocks. I dont have cash flow right now for ground controls.

well if you get a good brand of struts it the coilovers shouldn't blow them out.
you gotta understand these cars are OLD now, 10-14 yrs old, STOCK struts, its a wonder they've lasted this long, muchless dropped, probably pretty hard, and then having 17's, with a 40 series, not much give, even more stress on the old struts. you gotta put it in perspective, NEW struts, GOOD struts, and the coilovers, will be a good thing, and stick to 15's or 16's

at least 2" to get rid of wheel gap
more like 2.5 to 3 imo... but i like my **** low

i run sportlines... supposed 1.8" drop but most say they sit lower than that and there is still a good inch or inch and a half of gap
