How much do you think is just "too cheap" for a 92-93 cx,dx? This guy in school said that he is selling his 92 Civic hatch (didn't get to find out the chassis) for $300. He sais it runs good and that it has no phisical damage. Still $300 is quite cheap for a 5th gen. So the question is; is this too cheap? Could I be getting screwed over?

There is no such thing as too cheap. As long as the frame isnt bent and there isnt a whole lotta rust, I say go for it. Check the VIN too to make sure its not stolen. Even if its got some exterior damage, for $300 bucks you can probably afford the body work unless its just beyond repair. Dont knock it until you've checked it out.

 

check over the sub frame. Who gives a **** if the motor is no good for $300 you could have alot to spend on a motor. Just look over it a couple of times to make sure.

Make sure you check it out first.... there could be a lot of rust (92's love rust on the rear quarter panels) Motor doesn't matter, you can pick one up for 100 buck or so! Just check it out first!

ive heard of 92 eg hatches in decent condition for 500.

you people gotta remember, these cars are "cool cars" to us but to most people they are just mediocre piece of crap econoboxes with no value, no ac, no ps, no horsepower. lol. thats all that its worth to them. kinda like when I see less "well to do" families rolling around in clean *** ae86 gt-s. to them its just a beater they could afford. to us, its an awesome chassis for its time.

u might also want to run a carfax to see if it was stolen or in an accident or somethin

PS i once bought a 92 phantom grey cx for 120 bucks! it ran too (barely) and was kinda rough... but it was a steal and i ended up sellin it for 450 hehe

Dude dont listen to these guys. First before you buy get a carfax done...it might have a lean (sp) on it so he cant really sell it and he basically pockets 300 bucks from you. be careful about purchasing it check carfax first its worth the money.
