ok yesterday there was a pretty good snow storm. i wake up early and call my friend to see if their is a delay at least for our school, there was none. so i wait for him to get to my house we jump in my teg and take off for school. we start going down the highway everything great were nearing the school when a Geo metro huffs and puffs to pass me, my friend starts laughing so i chase him down and pass em (remember this part it may seem unimportant but its the moral) ok so the exit for my school is at the middle of STEEEp hill then there is a slight bend and another drop to a stop sign leading to the main road. well anyway i start slowing down figuring in shitty conditions to get on the exit ramp. soon as i do th elittle bend i see like 3 cars fish tailing a car already knocked off the guard rale. i'm thinking to myself wtf is goign on ? then i see this red civic and i'm approaching his rear pretty damn quick .. so i start downshifting trying to slow down the motor it worked some but not enough so i try my brakes the abs kicks in and me and my friend give a big oh **** .. i try them again it kicks in again and there is no way i'm even slowing down. so i think maybe if i slide down the guard rale i'll stop before i hit the kid .. well i move to try and just scrape the rale a little but all to late theres no way i'm stoping and WAM right into the red civics bumper.. i'm car #8 in a massive accident scene on this ramp. after i tag the kid we pull over and FINALLY the stupid state trooper goes and closes the exit .. **** it only took 8 cars .. and he had bin there like an hour before. i step out and almost busted my ***.The whole hill of an exit was str8 ICE. so my firend and i are talkin to the dude in the civic and just watching all the cars damages all these cars are fucked up. well the police comes takes our information and blah blah blah .. results of this crap

1) exiting ride and finish
2) i demolish the kids bumper which now i have to pay for
3) my Front bumper front right lights left front panel and some little brace for my wheel are toast
4) verbal warning for going to fast.. and a ticket for 78 bucks for having an expeired insurance card ..
5) fisting in the *** by my parents saying i'm not a carful driver
6) fisting by insurance !!!

i'm thinking i should sue the city for not having done something about that icey exit i mean while we were there the crew comes to clean this up and the cops like were was u guys at we bin waiting an hour hes like ahh caught in traffic .. total bullshit if they had cleaned that **** off 8 people wouldnt have had accidents there were more than 8 total though but 8 at one time were there. so what you think do i have a shot at sueing the city ?

Moral of the story ... never ever pass a geo .. if i hadnt passed that car i woulda got to teh exit and it probably would have been closed off already .. *little humor*

damage to my car rough estimate was about 1k+ just in parts i know the mechanic were gonna see what we can do + whatever it takes to fix the other kids car .. what a shitty day

F'in schools- the only way they cancel class is when the stupid superintendant wrecks his 80K rig on the way to school, and then they cancel it at like 8am after you get up and are headed there.

 

dude face it you werre drving too fast for the conditions the city will laugh in your face if you try to fight them, the insurance ticket will go away if you can provde that you had coverage at the time of the accident.

 

ouch man... well at least you're still humorous about it.

I think you need to go to court and get the ticket removed. It doesn't make any sense for the cop to give you a ticket when the road was covered with ice and the city didn't clean up.

you already admitted it yourself, you were going too fast for the conditions.. just bend over and take the consequences.. it's all you can do.

if there were 7 cars before you, i would fight it. and if that cop had been there for an hour that is PLENTY of time to park his cruiser there and tell everyone the exit was closed. how many peopel need to get in a wreck because of one policemans arrogance? I would definately fight it. In fact, I had an accident about 2 years ago involving ice, and what happened with me, since i had a good driving record, they said "if you do not get pulled over for 3 months, no tickets, no police record, no anythign, we will let it go" they believed me on the ice, and they sure as hell should believe you. I would fight it, but i woudl'nt tell them about the geo metro. Just tell them you have a 4disc braked car w/ ABS for superior braking and it did not get the job done, and 7 other cars braking systems did not get the job done either.
