Default Just curious...

I just bought a 2001 Honda Civic LX 4 door. It has a 1.7L engine, but i was curious if anyone knew what kinda HP i could exect out of it? And if there is a web site that i can check out that would give me more specs on that type of car? Thanks..

PEACE

good answer

anyways, check http://www.7thgencivic.com . Unfortunately the 01+ models are considered to be very mod un-friendly. It will be hard to get power out of it.

Basically you bought a 'green' car. It has a ULEV-spec non-VTEC motor. You can expect great gas mileage and low emissions. If you want to go for performance, your only hope is going to be a K20 swap. Contact these guys if you are interested...

dude dont let anyone tell you that that is a shitty car or you shouldnt have bought it..as long as you like it thats all that matters

even if your parents bought it for you thats even better because it saved you alot of money and you should be thankfull that your parents have good enough taste to buy a honda it could have been a cavalier

i will be the first to say forced induction. kits are out now (i am almost positive) that or the always unpopular on this board, nitrous. my suggestion is throw in some low compression slugs and turbo that bitch.
