Default Newbie exhaust resonator question (already searched)

I've got a very specific question. If I remove my cat is there a resonator the same length that will fit in its place? What is the length of the stock ITR cat? Does my stock ITR have a resonator in its exhaust system? If so, how long is it, and is it immediately in front of the cat?

I don't really get your question but the stock ITR exhaust does have a resonator and it is behind the cat.

Why are you removing your cat? If you want freeflow you should get a test pipe or straight pipe, don't understand what you mean by replacing it with a resonator.

There's a resonator on the bpipe, a large one. Look under the car and you'll see it.

If you want to remove your cat and get something that resonates in place of a test pipe, get a T1R resonated test pipe.

To tell you the truth, my Fujitsubo RM-01A and test pipe combo was slightly quieter than my RM-01A and cat combo. I have no idea why... maybe too much resonating going on.

I'm not sure the exact length of the cat, I believe 17.25-17.5". Send SMSP an IM, he knows.

Just an FYI - you can get a test pipe or cat made at ANY length you want.

You're going to get reset by saying that!!

I forgot to add: There is no resonator in front of the cat, unless you consider the engine and/or header a large (and loud) resonator.

The stock intake system has a resonator.
