How do i modify my engine block number?

I heard there was this stuff u could by to change the engine block number or add some. i have a d15b and i want to change the numbers to a d15b7.

Sounds like he has a jdm d15b 130hp block, and wants to mask it as the 107hp usdm one. If its to 'hide' it from thiefs i think its a good idea. If its to lie to people to win races or something

you can get number punches. We use them in a engine shop to tag block and heads with their work order numbers.

maybe he is trying to start a new trend..buy a jdm motor and stamp it usdm so thieves and other enthuiests(sp) are fooled by his trickery

HA yeah good idea.

So a thief spots a pretty civic, then he proceeds to steal it, popping the hood first to make sure it wis worth while, then he sees that it is sporting the DX engine. The thief then closes the hood gently, and roams to the next civic, discarding the last one because of the drivetrain weakness.........right

So your're saying if a theif stole the car and found just a b7 under the hood he'd take the stock engine? I'd personally think they wouldnt, they jack engines that are usefull and worth something. Thats why people get their pride and joys stolen by those creeps. With a lowend engine stamp on the sucker and it looking plain ole stock, if it got stolen it might have a better chance of being recovered with the engine intact.

Maybe he'll tell us what his reasoning is, other than smog and fooling thieves, or lying to people he might race

. i cant see any other reasons for 'downgrading' an engine by restamping it.

the motor is legit and i'm not trying to impress anyone. it is for smog purposes. i live in cali and i want to make sure i will pass visual inspections with my jdm motor. i want to mask it to look like a usdm d15b7. i asked a simple question, iif u can't answer it then don't talk ****.
