Default help with short shifter install

I will have access to a lift this weekend or next weekend. I was wondering who here has installed a DC sports short shifter using a lift and how much time did it take you. Any suggestions, comments or hint would be more than welcome, they are encourged.

Thanks in advance,

Beefy

PS did search but couldn't find out how long it took.

This article will help. http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/tech/0106scc_shift/

My first one took about an hour, now I can get them done in less than 30 mins.

You dont really need a lift to install the shifter, but thats awesome that you can get your hands on one!

How did you get that perk?

A buddy of mine used to work at Canadian Tire (Canadian automotive store, there is like a million of em) and his buddy still works there so he will let me use it for a case of beer!!!
Do you think he'll take that case???

yea, not hard, but alot easier with a lift, stupid cat bolts are always a pain for me, and getting enough leverage. rrrr

Impact wrench works wonders on that kind of stuff.

It's pretty easy if you follow bseries.net's instructions....should only take 30-60 mins for first time

I believe he means the shift throw length. In comparisons to sedans, yes it is shorter, but it's no short shifter.
