GSR brakes to Legend, or type R brakes on G3 teg

From: some place you can't steal my car
I have the stock set-up on my 95 GSR, using porterfield R4S, SS lines, brembo cross-drilled, and hi-po fluid. Couldn't be happier with performance, fade and warp resistance. The cross-drilled look decent, and are a c-hair lighter too
After almost 80K, its time to do it over again, at least up front. Caliper boots are getting messy, and the rotors are beyond resurfacing and are edged badly. Front rotors and calipers are almost a necessity.
I'd be stupid to not consider improvement, so naturally I am thinking bigger brakes. Have seen recent posts of ITR guys throwing the legend twin piston caliper on their r's with decent results. Since the type R caliper will fit the GSR, it should work...no? I am aware I will have to get the larger rotor and get it drilled to fit 4x100 but my question is clearance? Has anyone done this successfully and did it clear both the caliper and inside of the stock wheel. I use the stock 15x6.5 GSR 5 spoke in winter and volk 16x7 in summer (volks shouldn't be a problem).
I can get the acura remanned calipers for the legend (twin piston) from a&H for:
45230SP0E01=$76.10 plus $60.00 core deposit=$136.10
45210SP0E01=$76.10 plus $60.00 core deposit=$136.10
have to pay core cuz I can't turn in teg calipers for legend's, could probably find used, or autozone calipers for the legend cheaper, but I am not upset at 136 price really.
I have another question on the rotors. type r is bigger than the gsr, but apparently when using the legend caliper the spacing/rotor thickness is a little different, so I quess you have to use the legend rotor 45251SP0E00=$100.05ea. also.
Can somebody please validate this before I get the wrong thing. Oh and get this, apparently the legend and the type R share the same porterfield pad despite the rotor difference, either that or have my legend swap year wrong, (does anyone know what it year you should be taking these from? Another interesting tidbit is the 97-01 type r and acura 96-01 RL use the same rotor. Yes, RL, not legend. WTF???
Please help honda tech.

Also, I can't remember if it was somebody on this board trying to sell this pair, but maybe it'll work to your advantage.

the 15's will work for sure as I sport 15x6.5"...that setup even works under the "fat fives" but i can't find the thread at the moment. (super tight clearance)
One thing that bums me out is everyone seems to be set on re-drilling a prelude rotor, but WHY???? I use the VW Corrado 11' 4*100 rotor (i have legend 2 pots) and it worked perfect! Not only that, but the VW rotors are vented far better than the preludes.
PM me w/any ?'s and/or your e-mail address and I'll take some pictures for you if need be...I'm not necessarily up to speed when it comes to uploading pictures and what not.
