need some strong axles
everyones probably sick of this ,but, i need some new axles for when the car is ready to hit the track. i already know i will snap the stock ones like a 7 foot tall kenyan in the wind. it seems that dss keeps revamping their lineup everytime someone snaps a set
. the only others i have seen that are probably going to be able to hold some decent umph are tci or gator..anyone have prodrives? i cant contact anyone w/ tci and gator is in backwoods florida so i dont think they even have a phone..
looking to run a 24.5+ slick ..possibly a 26" ...need something that will hold.thanks guys
roby
ps: preferably a abs system, its a pain to ride

Well, I would still go with DSS There are people around here that can snap anything I don't care how strong it is and that has to deal with the way you drive. YOu can't go sidestepping a dual disk clutch with 600 hp and a 28" slick and expect it to hold. I run stock axles right now with 24.5 slicks and they are fine. I know of only 1 person that could do it but he ran 26" slicks for 1 whole season without breaking an axle (they were stock integra axles...) something to keep in mind. If your only looking to get 300 hp and a 24.5 slick go with some DSS and save some money. a lot of people use them so they have A LOT of data to improve from that's why they keep revamping them they keep getting better
Well anyway, hope this helps.

DSS stage 5 axles here. I'm pushing close to 400whp with my crappy fuel setup now, but will be seeing around 550whp soon. The axles should hold with ease.
EDIT: oh yea, i use a 24.5X8X13 slick

hi
the reason we keep redesigning the axles is make them hold more HP, every time we do it its to make them better for some reason you seem to be getting more and more power out of the cars so we feel you might want axles to go with that power and not have to go with the top of the line units that most company's sell. we do it to help you out

how are u gonna ask dss to sponsor you when you havent even made a pass? have fun dishing out 4 k on that mark williams...
dss: i meant no insults by sayn that yall have to revamp your lineup. sometimes however, i am confused when you revamp it, do all the axles get better or are just the stage 5s revamped to meet hp and slick size expectations?

last year i ran DSS stage 5 axles. i had 500+ to the wheels and a clutchmasters twin disc. i ran 25" slicks as low as 6 psi. i made 100's of passes in the car even side stepping the clutch a few times
..........and those axles held like a champ. drove them on the street as well even though they recommended against it. they are fine for under 600 hsp, thats for sure.
