i dont know whats going on, but the b16a is sucking up all the gas. i dont know what is cause by it. like i mentioned in other post, i only messed with vacuum lines and throttle cable. on a full tank, 30 miles would be down at 3/4 tank. 99 miles would be under half a tank almost to 1/4 tank.
i dont think timing and valve adjustment would be making my car run really rich right?

so your motor was not initially getting this bad of gas mileage?
I am assuming you did the normal maintainence i.e. tune-up, fuel filter etc.
what tranny do you have and what is most mileage? (hwy or city)
my s1 will only get about 130mpt all highway.

no my motor was not intially getting this bad mileage. i have a j1 tranny. all this happen after i did timing and adjusted the throttle cable. it runs fast, but i think too much fuel is getting burn. i use to get at least 250 per tank.
I have a b16 swap in my crx and I get low gas miles too but not that low but I think its cuz I speed alot do you have the same disease as me? its not such a rare disease but there is no cure you can only supress it

no i dont speed a lot. i use to..but i would still over around 240 per tank. when i dont speed..i would get more. but now it sucks..im at 1/4 tank and im on 90 miles...AAARGH! pissing me off!!
mine did that. i replaced the o2 sensors.
i have a b16a1 wit pr3 ecu.
when one of the o2 sensors went out. i dropped to around 100mpt at most 150mpt
after it did like 300mpt usually like 270ish though

I use to have the same problem...got really crappy gas mileage w/ my b16...but I did all my vacum lines and wires over again....I'm not sure what it was, but since I re-wired everything the problem went away...
change your plugs put some ngk platinum 4's good plug wires and a good distributor. check you timing, then adjust your valves' accordingly.
No.. I know what it is.. have had thesame with my D15b2 civic
1. Lambda is worn or complety busted suplying the ECU with wrong signals and thinking the engine is too lean thus compensating the fuel.
solution: read out the voltage on the lambda, check the workshop manual
Add: B16 has two lambda's
2. The external fuel lines are made of vulcanized rubber but these get brittle after ~ 10 years and may have start leaking especially when 45psi of pressure is put on them (during driving)..
Have had both, fixed it and got my 300 miles on a tank of gas back!
