How much does the stock hood weigh? And how much does a carbon fiber hood weigh? Is there even an aluminum hood available? If so, how much does it weigh?

I did a search on "carbon", but only turned up 2 useless threads.

I should not have limited the search to ITR section. I think all G3 Integras have same hood. But doing a global search didn't turn up any discussion about Integra hood weight - just the CRX hood where someone said the CF hood is only 10 lbs. lighter. My WRX aluminum hood feels a hell of a lot lighter than my ITR hood.

 

um i thought that all G3 tegs already have aluminum hoods... and the weight depends on what type of CF hood you get.

 

Stock G3 DC hoods weigh ~31 lbs. My FiberImages CF hood weighed ~16 lbs. on the same scale.

 

I think mine weighs somewhere between 12 - 16 lbs.

How about a styrofoam hood?
