tonight i was pulling up my driveway and tried to get enough speed to get up it and i ripped half of my lip off my car. not all of it so that it can be put on but half of it. half is still left on the car. i am pissed off. anyway. time for a new lip. here is a pic of my old lip. should i just get another one of those(CTR lip) or get another one. suggestions are welcome. peace and dont drive to fast up your driveway when its got a dip at the bottom.

Anyways, Since you have the 99-00 front end, get the SI lip. It looks like you had the autodynamic lip or something close to that? BTW, did you just get the car painted? Hope it didn't mess up the paint on the bumper.

 

I like the way the si lip looks myself.. What lip is from 96-7 civic? EX?

damn sorry to hear that.. yeah my SIR lip on my 98 htbk is pretty much toast as well I ripped the lip right off the left bracket.. but it still holds on for life.. thank god I picked up a new one ...but I say get the SI lip.. since theres a better chance you can get a practically new one at a OEM honda-online shop for cheap good luck

haha beat ya to it, i ripped off that same lip off my EG 2 days ago ..i hit a lil patch of snow making a left and i hear this scrappin noise then i see the thing stick right up ..im like whoa ..had to pull over and bolt the thing off... its still good doh ..
car looks naked without it .. oh well ..another month and spoon lip 4 me!

you do bring up a good point. i still want my car to look good when i get out. im having alot of stuff done when im gone. im getting jdm sidemarkers put on and im getting an Si climate control put in with the cig lighter and armrest. im also looking for new inside door panels cuz mine are fucked up. just cuz im going away for 3 months doesnt mean my car wont me gettin nicer. i got friends for that. but i understand what you are saying.

 

I got a buddy of mine a SIR-G lip off half cut, and his dad went outside in the moring for a smoke before we could put it on and stepped on it! it cracked into two! granted it had a crack, but it wasent in 2 peices!!!

 

that sucks. anyone have a reccomendation on another lip of does the one i have look good. i personally like the one i had.

 

get any lip made out of abs plastic. I have an oem lip on my 97 ek and I went to far over a parking block and my lip only got scratched while my front bumper broke into pieces. I just sanded down the scatches with some 1000 grit sandpaper and spray painted it. Looks brand new. That abs plastic **** is tough.
