say you bought a motor that had its motor stamp shaved off. what would you do. the shaving probably indicates that it is stolen obviosly... right. is there any other reason that someone would shave it..?
Really there isn't enough info on what I would do. If I purchased it from a VERY RELIABLE source with a good explanation it would prob be cool.
I always stay away from sketchy deals. Not saying my morals are better than thou but it's always messed up when someone buys stolen merchandise, keeps them damn thiefs in business.
Find out all you can...it may be to late on this deal however, maybe you just got a great deal. Good Luck

yeah... i traded my b16a1 long block for a b18c1 longblock and tranny. but the guy shaved off the vin plates and the b18c1 stamp. he said he did it because he had a skunk2 IM on it and he wanted to tell people that he had a b16a in a Teg. his story doesnt add up but it was too good of deal to pass up... now im stuck with a motor without a vin. I might sell the gsr tranny and buy an ls block and itr pistons. and use my 99 si tranny that i have laying around. but ill figure something out... thanks for your help.
also i dont support jackers cause my car was jacked a while ago. and i know how it feels.
