I searched and was unable to find the answer to my question:
Q: Does the 2000 CX hatchback have a tach? Also, does the car come standard with power steering?

The DX's didn't have a tach, either. All the gauge cluster are interchangeable with no wiring modifications. I have a SI cluster in my DX. Easy as pie to swap out.
