Default 10.2 in the 1/8= to about what in the 1/4?

I am just wondering. When i first got my car we went to Kennedale. It was my first and only time on a track. I ran 3 times and ran a 10.2. About what does that equal in the 1/4. I can now drive my car and know i can get better times. I am just trying to fiqure out where i stand as of right now. Thanx for the info.

BTW i had a full interior, spare, and what ever junk i had in there plus i weigh about 225.

About a 16.1. Times the 1/8 time by 1.58 for a good estimation. What do you drive and whats done to it?

I seriously dont think that is right. I am not calling u a lier or anything but if that is true than i am the worst driver in the world. I drive a stock Type R. But then again i am a fat *** and i did have all my stuff in there so u could be right. I know that there is really no way to know until i actually do run a 1/4 so i am not going to get pissed at myself. This summer i am going to head out to Ennis and give it another try with my stuff taken out and maybe give a call to Jenny Craig.

I have to agree with the above guy..your right around 16.1s..which is pretty far off of what your car is capable of...you should be about a second quicker than that(in the 1/4)

thats pretty accurate unless you spun all the way down the 1/8 which i doubt you did all motor. at best 15.9 on that run is my guess.

What was your MPH in the 1/8th? That will tell you alot about what your car is gonna do the last 1/8th mile. Also what was your 60ft time?

I ran a 10.2 in the 1/8 and a 15.6 in the 1/4 with a stock 94 Civic EX and I weigh 320 lbs. that should give you some sort of an idea and that was at Ennis

I dont know how often you have drag raced but if you think about all the little mistakes you make here and there man they do add up. For example a sloppy shift or getting out of your power band for to long will eat you alive.

Ive seen lots of videos on the web that will show a guy racing an import and sometimes you can hear the engine cutting out for just a sec before they hit the next gear...what a time burner. I hate to say it, but I will practice makes perfect, and thats why its racing!

If there wasn't any room for improvement none of us would do it.

I hope your mph was a typo. There is no way your pulling anywhere near 80's in a stock Explorer

Dude, I need to start going out to Kennedale again. Sounds like the Tegs are representing out there again. Anyways, when I went to the track, my best 1/8 time was 9.7 @ 74.08, and that was on the way to a 14.97 @ 93.82 mph run. Any of you Dallas guys interested in making a little trip w/ me and some V6 Mustang buddies of mine on the 28th to Temple? Going to Temple Academy Dragway. We're meeting at the Waffle House on 35 and 20. Check out http://www.3.8mustang.com forums in the TX/Southwest US forum, under a few of the title headings. My name on there is GSRGuy16, cuz I couldn't figure out how to change my name when I turned 17 . But anyway, that'll give me a chance to have some h-t.com guys be able to back up a stock GSR in the 14s.

it depends on your 60' and other stuff... a frind of mine ran a 2.4 60', 9.9X in the 1/8 and 15.3X in the 1/4... me on other hand... i ran a 2.2 60' and 10.006 in 1/8... depends on driving. if you can break 9's.. in the 1/8, you be pretty close to 14's

hehe
My CRX Si ran a 10.09 in the 1/8 with just IHE and 200k miles. I woulda got in the 9's but my shitty clutch and trashy interior kinda hampered that.
