Default Exahust Question

Im swaping a B16 into my 97 hatch but i want to keep the outside as stock as possible..specifically the exhaust...
I just saw another post where some guys exahust blew off cause of the power (but his was fully tuned)

So my question is how long will my stock muffler last?
I dont want a exahust cause it gets annoying too and where I live cops are cracking down harder and harder every season..

So what so you guy suggest?
Thanks
Jebus

I am pretty sure you will be ok with the swap and the stock muffler for a while, or at least until our canada salted roads eat it away.

But then after market, what would be good, that looks stock???

I would buy an ES or Magnaflow oval and install it with no tip. Paint it flat black and make sure to use a resonator and catalytic converter. This will give it sleeper looks with a good tone and straight-through design.

Chek out the apexi world sport, the spoon street one might be loud but looks very stock....there are pletny of quiet options. Magnaflow with custom piping, es oval or anything the same shape and parameters with sutom piping. also another is the greddy sp.

Its not that i dont want to put on a nice muffler but the situation is this...
my car is under my moms name so im paying 700$ a year for 2 cars (dads malibu and my hatch with 250$ deductable..)
on my last hatch, my mom was first also but when it got totaled we got busted for insurance fraud cause they knew that i was the primary driver and not my mom...

So Im keeping the outside completely stock except for some 15inch konig heliums...and i dont want attention from a muffler from cops since they are on power trips and rather bust kids insted of stoping real criminals

thanks
Jon
