i live in the bay area and was wondering if anybody had suggestions as to where i could go. the alarm is a clifford matrix 1 and will b going in an 03 tacoma. i feel more confident taking it to goos guys vs. a no name shop but im open to all suggestions. thanks

I actually heard that it's better to take it to a reputable alarm shop rather than having a store like Best Buys or Good Guys do it. A good installer is very important. Try asking around about alarm shops in your area. It is important that all of the parts are concealed so thieves will have a harder time to pull the alarm apart. And be sure to express your concern about a good install to the installer before getting it installed.

 

Any "Car Toys" stores in your area??....thats where i would go!

Take it to Circuit City man. I am an installer there and we do an awesome job putting them in. We solder and tape all of our connections unlike Best Buy. If you have more questions about it, email me or post back.

Well, my Circuit City just do basic on alarms. One cut and ur're screwed.

 

Man us installers at Circuit City sure do have a rep for doing "simple" alarm installs. Just to let everyone know, I know how to do the complicated stuff to like windows up and down, windows with proximity sensor, sunroof open and close, radio on and off, etc.

Too bad you live down in San Jose, are else I would recommend AudioMobile in Oakland on 12th and Webster....or 14th and Webstter, don't remember the exact street. They do a great job, no B.S. crap work and the prices are very good also. I live in SF and I always drive there for all my alarm and stereo needs even though there are plenty of these shops here in SF.
