Default RE. Was robbed Friday night

Ok i went to the insurance office today, I told her what happened, She wanted to see the recipts again, the total was $4893.00cdn. THey will not cover it under house insurance. B/c she showed me in the policy, it says all car parts anywhere on the property will only get $1000.00 coverage. Therefore i would lose 3893.00. She goes file it under car insurance is your only bet. I said ok, Before i was able to insure the car last april they made me get it appraised see that its a type r. So i got it appraised at $32000.00 canadain, so b/c my car is a rare car my decutiable is 2% of the value of car, therefore my ****** deductable is $2000.00. So i'm fucked again i`ll only get $2893.00. Those ****** asses . So Now i am left with 2893.00 to buy rims tires and two front seats. Wow i have the worst ****** luck in the world. I`m pretty much screwed i dont know i will be able to afford rims and seats with that much money. For anyone that read this, and thinks or kmows a nother way to approch this please help me....
**** insurance companies

Sorry to hear, that really sucks

As far as replacing the seats, On Track may still be doing a group buy on Recaro SRD's. I think a pair, with mounting hardware was around $1300.

Edit: spelling

Can you file 1000 of it under house and the rest under car insurance?

I would have a lawyer review both policies and make the decision from there. These insurance companies, especially in Canada, have their clients by the short and curly’s. Also as soon as you get any kind of money for ING direct, which in my opinion, such ***, change auto insurance immediately. As well, make it a point to call your home insurance to tell them your disappointment in their treatment of your case and change that insurance co as well.

You got jacked by the people who were supposed to save you.

At least with 2893, you can get some nice rims, tires, and a pair of bucket seats. Even though you should have gotten much much more....

I'm not sure exactly how insurance works in Canada...but in CA, as far as I know, everything that's bolted on the car is covered by car insurance and everything else is coverd by home insurance. And bolted on items means anything that will still be attach to the car if it's flipped over. I would check your insurance policy again.

Get the money from both companies. Buy some gones, and take some shooting lessons. Go to work for a bounty hunter, learn the "tricks of the trade". Then GO get the mother ****** who stole your stuff and get it back. Then you will have your seats, some money, a new gun, and be a bad mo fo.

sorry about your loss bro. I know what a bitch insurance companies can be. You have to have a freaking magnifying glass and an attorney to wade through all their paperwork.

But 2893.00 is still enough to buy some decent rims and maybe a seat or two... Sorry it's not your original amount, but you can make do with it.

We are talking canadian. And the seats should appraise for at least 2 grand USD each at the dealership. I think you are getting jacked in that department.
