Default OBD1 distributor....differences (LS only)

Just a FYI....

I have been trying to convert my Si over to OBD1 for abnout 3 weeks now. I have been held up mainly by which distributor to buy that bolts up.

My motor is a 1995 LS, the head was cast in 94.

I have been using a 90-91 distributor for OBD0 just fine. All 3 bolts line up.

I took a OBD1 distributor off of a 92-93 LS when I first did my swap so I had this laying around. When I went to install this distributor only ONE bolt would line up with the head.

This week end I went to find the correct distributor. I found a 96 LS dist. This one does not have the correct foot-print either. It looked similar to the 92-93. Also, all the wires are in one common plug instead of two.

I finally found a 94-95 dist. The foot print matched the 90-91. Weird. I installed it and all 3 bolts matched up.

So it seems that the 92-93 LS were bastard OBD1 cars. My quest to have all 3 bolts in my dist. worked out.

I have pics if anyone wants to see them. Send me an Email and I will send them.
