help me identify this head?
i have a head from i believe a 96 DX but im not sure.. i have a D16y8 Vtec head too and it looks the same just it doesnt say Vtec or have the Vtec solenoid.. is there ant numbers or way to figure out what it is? i think its a Y7 but im not sure..

dude, all 96-up d-series heads basically look identical.
if it has a vtec silenoid, or a place for one, it is a d16y8 head.
If the place where the silenoid should be is void, then d16y7
or if this part confuses the **** out if you, then you can open it and see if there are more than one cam profile, basically, there will be 3 cam lobes per set of valves.

yea. im sure its a y7 now.. that is a 1.6L head right? also. if i wanna use this on my CX block what timing belt do i need cause i tried it with my cx belt and its a lil too big.? its a 93 CX
