Default Had our Si dynoed....

On Saturday my fiance had our Si dynoed.

First run with CAI and Dc Sports 4-2-1 header.....143 hp, 102 lb tq
Second run with CAI and open header.................153 hp, 109 lb tq

Not bad. His horsepower was better than some of the built GSR's and other cars with overwhelming amounts of mods.

Nice whp numbers. But how is that making more than built gsrs?

Don't know... There was a GSR bottom end with a B16 head. Things like that. Sure that one was running lean, but still the numbers are what matters.

Everyone was real surprised to see his numbers. But now I wonder if our other Si will have the same results?!

how is that a built GSR sound s like a fake as type r motor. b18c/b16 head. And i dont want to sound like a dick but a stock gsr bone stock will put down 156 on the dyno all day long, unless theve got 1000000 miles.

I know it seemed weird and like I said before that car was not running right. But that is what matters, the numbers. That car pretty much was running a type R motor, but lean. So, therefore he was still beating most cars out there. There was only one other Si with the numbers as high as his.

Now he purchased a VAFC and that will probably push his numbers up a bit as well.

Even so, there was a JDM GSR motor in a 96-up hatch that only put down 158hp to the ground open header. They have 180hp stock at the crank.

And which motor is suppose to be better. We ran our Si with just CAI and open header. No VAFC or other mods and got 153 whp.

No I am not looking for a pat on the back. So chill. Those are good numbers for the mods that we have done. And torque at 109 I know is shitty, but find a b16 with those mods with better tq numbers.

Yes, a geezer will have better tq numbers. Ours was 109. Not good at all. But we're pleased. We will see the numbers after we install our CTR cams and VAFC next week.

I say those are some good numbers. When you get your cams let us know how much more power they make on the dyno.

You have any suspension work done? What other mods are on the car?

No suspension work. He wants to get ITR valve springs and retainer and a CTR ecu soon. I know suspension is important. He will decide what he wants to do.
