Default Magnaflow...straight thru or S tubes?

Im considering a alluminzed Magnaflo or Dynomax UltraFlo anyways I went to there website and they have no pix showing how the ss and aluminized mufflers are made..Are the things Straight thru design..chamberd or S tubes...Any one know where i can get the alluminzed one for cheaper than $69?? I did search but couldnt find a specific answer for my next question which is. How will this sound on a crx si..im running stock midpipe and was thinkin 2'' rear section with maybe a aluminzed Magnaflow. Be honest will this muffler be loud like my tanabe medallion style I have now. Do these sound rasy? will I need a resonated tip to keep it quiet or non raspy. Please be honest. If they sound like crapmaster I mean flowmaster I will not be happy. Any help is appreciated.

Check out http://www.bigexhaust.com they have the aluminized Magnaflow in the size you'd need for $60. Also, they have SS for $70. I'd go with the SS Magnaflow. It's a straight-thru design and I haven't heard anything bad about them.

As long as you have the muff with a resonator it should sound good.

All Magnaflows mufflers are straight thru. All Dynomax UltraFlo mufflers are straight thru. Both are good quality mufflers. I've got a UltraFlo on my car. Absolutely no regrets. Best muffler for what I wanted (stock shaped, straight thru, 2.5 piping, & quiet). It can sound a bit raspy above 6,000rpm but I don't mind. I totally recommend this muffler for EFs.

As for Magnaflow, a few friends of mine have used it. One on a CRX, didn't sound too good. Muffler was too big (he got the really large stock looking one). Sounded all hollow. Second friend had a smaller Magnaflow on his VW GTI. Sounded good. Deep and low, the way most Magnaflows sound. Not high pitched. And lastly, another friend had a Magnaflow on his GSR. Again, a low and deep sound.

Overall, the UltraFlo is quiet and raspy. The MagnaFlow is low and deep. Neither was really loud.

MagnaFlow straight through mufflers are good. I have one on my car right now: 2.5 inch straight pipe with a MagnaFlow muffler.
