Default Flowmasters or Magnaflow???

I'm looking for something pretty stock looking. I also want the muffler to be as quiet at possible, yet freeflowing too (yeah I know, it's pretty contradictory). What do you guys think would be better for what I want? Thanks

Flowmaster has several different lines of mufflers but the real performance ones are anything but quiet. They have no sound deadening in them like the magnaflow, instead they rely on directing the airflow around steel plates so that the sound waves will bounce just right and cancel themselves out. I have a 2 chamber flowmaster on my turbo crx and the tone is mellow around town but get loud when you step on the gas. On the up side, it doesn't sound anything like the typical import motor.

Thanks for your replies.

Anyone know where to get the Magnaflow Mufflers on-line?

Here's my 3" Magnaflow attatched to 3" piping.

Sounds great, nice and deep, no raspyness whatsoever

Are there any Magnaflow mufflers that are not polished? I'm going for the stock look

Yes, they make aluminized also.

Here is the best place hands down to get them:

Very cool. Thanks for the link

I'm assuming aluminized is the stock looking one?

Yes, similar to stock. Stock is galvanized which looks almost identical. If course, now you'll have a big fat pipe coming off the muffler (whatever size exhaust you have) instead of the silly stock Honda 1.5" exhaust!

Eric!!!! what are you doing, going back to stock!!!! funny ****!!!!!!! hahaha see you in August!!!!!! i can check with my friend, he has the old school RSR exhaust for sale, you know the black muffler one. ill check, but the muffler might be loud cause all the **** inside might have been blown out cause it was used on a booseted GSR with a 3 inch exhaust from the turbo to the back.!!!

Hey can you make a sound file of your exhaust. That looks great and the price is good too. I want to see what it sounds like with the turbo.

thanks, JAson
