Default Finally dynoed [sp] my B20

I finally got around to dyno tuning my B20 in my EG. Hopefully I can get some more Hp out of it when the AF ratio is tuned.

The text was too large so it came out wierd on the dyno sheet. The better of the two runs is 217.9 Hp and 153.5 ft-lbs. The baseline was 214.1 Hp and 147.3 ft-lbs.

B20 block
B16 head
Toda SpecA cams
Toda cam gears
Toda header
Toda flyweel
Wiseco pistons 12.5:1
ITR intake manifold
AEM CAI
64mm TB
test pipe
5Zigen Border304 exhaust
270cc injectors
'kenji' P28

I learned one thing when I took my EG for a spin after tuning it. ArmyGreenEG will not fit in Mugen S1 seats. His *** is not JDM y0!

I'll try to get some pics of the sh*tbox next weekend.

Thanks to rainmanEK for going to my house to get my 270cc injectors.

Kenji,
Did you open the chamber to 84mm or just stock?
is the head port and polished?

thanks

Chamber was opened to 84mm and was lightly ported by Portflow. Tom did a portjob very similar to the OEM ITR porting. He only ported about an inch or so around the valves in the ports and he polished the combustion chamber.

nice number kenji, just out of curiosity, why did you go with the spec A's? Did you get them before the sk2 stage 1's came out? Or did you pick spec a's over them anyways?

SloPoke,

I chose specA cams because I have always had good luck with them and I got them for a good deal (thanks S&P500ITR ).

VTHokie,

I am glad to hear you like the ECU program I sent you.

Tbone,

No worries. I don't want you to remove your dyno plots. Its good for people to see different setups and what their power output looks like on a dyno.

Something that is interesting is how both of our dyno graphs seem to show the peak Hp within about 2-3 hundred RPM. You were running Toda specBs and I was running Toda specAs. I thought the specBs would peak a few hundred RPM higher.

Buckshot,

I used a GS-R main cap girdle to help the bottom end along with the tranny/block brace from an ITR.

Very nice numbers Kenji, its about time that "top secret" block sitting in your garage got put to use

I think the bug is catching me again, we'll see soon enough.

Do you think this will be able to hold up to 9800rpm because if not I might as well go with a 84mm B18C shortblock?
