Help guys I think I broke my R
Well I was racing a 67-69 camaro Z-28 and was passing him in forth and missed
fifth and threw it into third for about half a second then put in fifth. Well the car
still seems to be running fine but kind of making a ticking sound and at idle the
exhaust is making a lobing sound. any suggestions?

Yes, sounds like bent valves.
Also, there is no such thing as a 67-69 Camaro Z28

Warranty does not cover driver errors either. Would you expect your warranty to bail you out if you slid into a curb, bent a wheel and control arm?

This won't be covered under warranty because it is completely your fault.
A look on the bright side, I know somebody local, who had his motor replaced under warranty TWICE from "defective drivers."
People like him ruin things for everyone else.

this will certainly not be covered by the warrenty. You probably have bent valves, and a death pressure plate and this is if your lucky. id also chance the piston rings at the same time because car that get missshifted tend to burn oil like **** afterward.
Moron or not a moron, he still has a chance in getting his motor fixed under warranty.

I also know of someone who miss shifted, bent valves and had there valve train replaced under warranty so depending on which dealership you go to it will depend whether it is covered by waranty.

whew! Im glad i never finished a miss shift. When i first got it there were a few times when i started to miss shift but caught it before i let the clutch out.

Bottom line:
People whose cars break due to driver error are scum if they try to make the dealership pay to fix it.
We all choose the way in which we choose to live and this is one of those choices we have to make:
The right way or the cheap way.

He ought to nut up and cover the damages that were caused by his own doing.

If you misshifted (obviously no one would do this on purpose) and your car was under warranty, I personally think you would be a fool to not at least attempt for the dealer to fix it. Ask them and see what they say. If they say yes, well good for you. If they say no, they say no. Move on and try harder not to do it again.
