I have a thing on my auto tranny 98 Civic that says "autolock" and a place for a key. My owners manual is left at my Grandparents house
and I cant check it out. Please dont flame. Is this what you talk about when you guys talk about autolock? Or is that something you buy. Anyhow... how does this work because the numbers of thefts and vanadalism in my area is on a sharp rise. Im aware autolock wont help vandals but please tell how it works. Help a fellow HT member try keep his car.
Thank YOu.

an autolock is a device where u slip over the clutch or brake pedal and u pull up on the lever and it's suppose to lock ur clutch or brake...so that way a thief won't be able to start ur car...personally i feel more safe wit an autolock then an alarm but it doesn't hurt to have both

Isnt that so you can put the tranny in a different gear, when the car is off or something? Never owned an auto.

Anyone know where I can buy an Autolock Pro? I went to all the local Targets, Walmarts, Kmart, Kragens, and PepBoys, but all they carry is the Autolock Classic (which has the weaker key lock that thieves have an easier time defeating). The only place I can seem to find an Autolock Pro is online, but I'd prefer to just walk into a store and buy one to avoid the whole shipping deal...
