question about fpr setting for gsr...
yesterday, i decided to add a bigger fuel rail (AEM), FPR (B&M), & gauge (B&M) to my 98 gsr. my mods consist of: I/H/E, itm,tb,MSD ignition,OBD2-OBD1 conversion clutch&flywheel, underdrive pulleys, plus a few more minor add ons. installation of rail, fpr, & gauge was simple. i set the fuel pressure 5psi above stock,50psi. which should be 45psi. every thing was fine, i checked & tightened all bolts after a short time of driving, checked for leaks. nothing. about an hour later, i decided to get on it one time again, & noticed when i hit 7000rpms, i bogged out and my rpms would go any higher. so i adjusted the fuel pressure down a few notches, back to stock, tested it out...fine. my question is what could have caused this? i've heard of people running up to 80psi w/ stock stuff. i know this is not recommended, but shouldn't 50psi be alright considering my mods. could the larger fuel rail capacity effect anything in reguards to stock injectors. i don't really think i need larger injectors or fuel pump currently until i change cams or pistons. thanks...

You need a VAFC. FPR + VAFC = Music.
Lean out the top-end of your powerband. You don't need any higher than 45psi on stock internals. Basic cams, like CTR's, usually like 50-52.
It's always best to bring it to the dyno, but that gets expensive really fast. Good luck.
