440cc injectors too big for fully built NA/Hondata GSR? Sgt?
OK the last thing I need(ed) for my car before I can put it back together, break-in, and tune is injectors. I can get a great deal on new RC engineering 440cc saturated injectors. Are these going to be too much for my 85mm b18c w/ 12.5:1ish compression and Crower 63403 cams? I'm using a P28/Hondata S200 computer BTW. I have an adjustable FPR, so I'm thinking I can just lower the pressure and run a fairly low duty cycle. I've not gotten my Hondata tuned though, so I don't know. Anyone have any thoughts...constructive thoughts?
well i run 310's on my low compression b20 (kinda built for turbo but i run it NA) and those are sitting so low on the duty cycle so in other words 310's wold prolly be more then enough
How much power do you think you have? RC engineering has an online flow rate calculator so you can find out what size injectors you need. If you don't feel confident using that, you should just call RC Engineering and talk to some one who knows what they are talking about. I don't think that 440 will be too big because you have a lot of things done that might require the bigger injectors.
I was just under 200whp before sleeving w/ JDM ITR pistons. I'll be hoping for somewhere around 220-230whp after tuning. I did go through their flow rate calculator when I was thinking 370cc injectors. I don't think that'd give me too much headroom, though I'm not sure what else I can/will be adding to this setup.

i have a fully built LS/Vtec and runb 310s... theyre a pain in the *** without tunning cuz my car runs like dhit... i should be alright afta tunning... plan on switching to 270cc for now

May I suggest the '97+ Prelude injectors? They're 290cc and saturated.
Thanx guys, I think I'm gonna go ahead and jump on the 440s.

keep the pressure around 40-50 psi so the spray pattern remains good.
otherwise with hondata you can use 440s with no problems.
i get 40mpg on my motor with 440. going to 550s soon most likely

There will be absolutely no problem there. Actually, if you get that size then you will have a little "breathing-room". You can certainly tune the car to use those fine, and your injectors may simply run at a low duty cycle. If you get different injectors that flow less fuel, then it will be more difficult to get that fuel later if its needed. If you can get a good deal, they will be perfect.
Thanx again guys. They're new RC SL-440s. RC Engineering identified these as thier part for a Ford Mustang, but said they'd fit a Teg fine with minor modification to the fuel rail. Since they're being sold 8 at a time I believe they are Mustang injectors. I'm getting them for $260 and can hopefully resell 4 and recover most of the cost.
Yes I am cheap.
