i just ordered the comptech icebox and i was wondering what filter ya'll recommended. i was thinking of using a K&N filter and just cleaning it and re-oiling it when it is needed. the foam filter from comptech just makes me feel like tons of dirt could go through.

 

The K&N E-2427 will fit your icebox.

 

i know that it would fit but is it a good filter for everyday driving? what would be the best one?

I just use the comptech foam one with my icebox.

 

I thought about getting the Apex-i filter cause i hear it flows better than the K&N. Its expensive but u have to pay if u want to Play.

it says that it is a "maintenance free dry-type air filter" what the hell does that mean.....how do you clean it?

 

k&n, always loved them

 

use comptech foam filter, - seemed to work great when i had it - if you're worried about filtration - keep using oem filter.

 

i don't think they make one to fit itr box

As for filters, I'd say use whatever fits in the box. If you'd feel more comfortable using a K&N, get it. The price is pretty close to the Comptech, and either should do the job.
