Type R got hit HELPPPPPPP
Well last night I was driving to take my girl home. While I was wait to turn cuz of traffic on the other side. A taxi hits me right on the Type R badge. When I get out to look and call the cops the taxi pops U-turn and brakes out.
IM asking to see if anybody has ever took there car to acura dealership for body work.how is there work and about how much think i would have to pay to get it fix.
I need the hole low panel where the Type R badge is done and about 5" on the door. The lower panel is push in IM going to see it i can push it out and the door the paint is cracked.
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT

Every cab i've seen in NYC has some sort of identification and the rates posted on the side of the door.
i live in nyc the cab there dont have wirteing on the side and he broke out in less then 20 sec
then it wasnt a for-hire cab. And he should have gotten a plate number. Did you file a police report on the scene? Did you contact your insurance agent? Bitching about it on honda-tech does not fix the problem.
File the police report. Sit down with your insurance agent. Get 3 or 4 body shop estimates. Nut up and take care of it. This is life, this is part of owning a car.
When i busted my **** i took it to a few body shops, got estimates and left it in the hands of a shop i trust (had done previous work on my cars) and paid out of pocket since it was my fault. I now have my eye on a 91 Integra RS in NoVa that i think i'm going to pick up next week. And saturn parts are nowhere near cheap i'm afraid....
ROFL!!!
That's OK for you, Mr Cheap Saturn Plastic Parts.

When my GSR got rear ended no the driver's side quarter panel last year I called a local Acura dealership and asked them what shops they recommended. Then I took it there and got an estimate. My insurance company also gave me an estimate (I think they had to) and they were pretty similar $4177.89
What had to be replaced (part price/labor), just the main parts.
L Quarter Panel: 466.37 / 405.00
Liftgate Adheisve nameplate 13.68 / 6.00
Replace Liftgate Decal 14.28 / 6.00 (6.00 to put a ******* badge on!)
Rear Body Panel: 265.86 / 135.00
Rear Body Finish Panel: 121.58
L. Taillight Lamp: 194.05 / 3.00
98+ Bumper cover: 333.70
Bumper Reinforcement: 218.69
Replace Rear Emblem: 27.30 (WTF!)
$1,822.97 parts
$1,062.00 body labor
$ 495.00 paint labor
$ 270.00 structural labor
$ 264.00 MISC
$ 107.40 sublet
$ 156.52 TAX
sigh.
It was a beatiful job, and all I had to pay was $500

If you say you have a messed up rear quarter panel, it is going to be rather expensive. Depending on how bad the damage is, you man need a new quarter panel.
New Quarter Panel install/labor costs = crazy high.

ah, driving in nyc. i live on the upper west side and it's not fun.
remember, you'll have to pay the deductible so get the highest estimate possible within reason of course.
