fuse for amp keeps blowing out!?!?!
hi my friend has a problem with his amp...he noticed his amp would stop working so i looked around and noticed his fuse on the positive cable to the battery was blown so we replaced it then it blew again...now it isnt blowing out anymore but the light on the amp will pulsate to the beat of the music...it will be lit when there is no bass or no music but once the bass comes itll begin to blink...we are using a spade 30 AMPER fuse which is the highest for that fuse size...any suggestions!?!?!
What amp are you using? A 30 watt fuse would limit you to about 200 watts of output depending on the amp's efficiency. If you have not other issues, a larger fuse should be fine.
okay...i'll say it
" the amp is dead Jim....
"
mistakes made...amp blew a fuse...you replaced it and it blew again.
did you check the speaker load on the amp? It may be way too low for
the amp to support it. I would disconnect the subs and see if the amp
works fine...or even the speakers may be blown which would cause problems.

Had this exact prob on my fosgate amp, turned out to be some bad internal wiring. I just sent it into warrenty repair at fosgate and got it bad about 6 weeks later good as new.
