Default Ultra FLO anyone use or hear one?

I decided to go with a dyno max ultra flo 2'' offset inlet center outlet..its the welded alluminum one..My question is has anyone heard a welded ultra flo or regular one even on a ef? I used to have a ss ultra flo but it was years ago. I have the stock Si exhuast mid pipe and new resonator. I want this muffler since its cheaper than the ss one and i need something quiter than my current setup. After seeing pixx of the rusted Dynomax Super Turbo muff I decided to go with the welded ultra flo even though it may be a lil louder. I would liek to know if its quiet during regular driving/ cruising.. any help is appreciated

i dont know about other people.. but I've used the Ultra Flow since I started into this scene back in 1992. I never believed in those expensive Japanese brand name mufflers. Dynomax alsways worked well and i will keep on coming back.

that Dynomax muffler pic was mine...

You pay for what you get.....
Most of Walkers, Dynomax's mufflers are aluminized and just rust out in no time.

I highly recommend Borla sound great and its full stainless inside and out.

Honestly.. you should upgrade the stock piping as well. may sound cheesy with the small piping but open up the diameter and it will be better. also... mine sounded really tough.. with a better cam or more engine work.. the sound will change and get meaner.. not so raspy.

Shawn01..did you run the factory resonator or one in the factory location..was this on a 88-91? what size pipie? should I get a 2'' or 2 1/4? I want it somewhat quiet. If 2'' is quieter than thats what Im gonna go with. Just need some more info.. thanx for all the replies

Hey exospeed, what size piping would you go with for a moderate-to-heavily tuned NA d16? Almost all d-series aftermarket headers use a 2" collector. Is there any reason to use exhause piping larger than the collector? On a similar note, what are some good d-series headers for a high-comp, worked head a6?
