sorry but thier is no such thing as pre OBD on any car with an ECU and a oxygen sensor. Everything up until 96/97 was the basic or sometimes refered to as OBD1.

thanks for all the help, here is whats up.. ok i have a ek first of all, but im doing a swap in a crx for my friend, the motor is a built 99 gsr, and a few of my friends said it would be easier to go obd 0 since i didnt have the harness for the motor, so i got a pre obd dist, and ecu (pr3), and i have the injectors.
so my question, am i close enough to having all the parts for obd0 or should i sell the stuff i have and go obd 1, if i go obd 1 dont i have to get a gsr wiring harness?
HELP please

For converting to any OBD you need:
-Alternator
-Distributor
-Injectors
-Wirring harnes
-ECU
of the OBD that you want to convert to.
*its called non-OBD, not pre-OBD*
BTW, I hope I got all the parts above right

as far as i know there are 2 obd1 designations, i can't for teh life of me recall how they are diferentiated (sp?) the cars that are referred to as obd0 are actually teh 1st gen of obd1. if it's got an ecu that spits codes it's got a form of "on board diagnostics"
