1st gen CRX carb to Fuel injected swap
i know this sounds like a lot of work but this isn't for me. Its actually a customer who wants this done, the car is an 86 CRX with the carbed motor(not sure of the exact engine code). He wants to do the B16A and I know it will involve a mount kit, fuel injection wiring, and conversion to fuel injection in the actual fuel system(lines, pump, etc). Has anyone ever attempted this? If so any advice with which wiring harness to use, fuel pump changes? I don't really want to take it on but if the kid wants it and has the cash then I'm game to at least look at it. Any advice or web sites would be great.
From what I understand, you have to use the Si gastank and all lines from there foward. You'll need the wiring harness, ECU and a few other parts. I would contact HASport for more information. I would also seriously consider getting another car, an 86-87 Si at least then do a swap. The expense of the mount kit and all the FI parts is worth more than the car itself
