Default Dc jdm 4-1 header?

Today we installed TypeR507's DC headers. In the process we also put on a highflow cat. After install we took the car out for some fun. Personally, i noticed the car had a little more top-end but nothing too drastic. TypeR507's seems to be somewhat dissappointed for some reason. He says that when entering Vtec its not as strong as before nor as loud. I dont think this mod is a drastic necessity. Im not claiming to be Mr mechanical guru but any opinions or anything that needs to be said on the behalf of this mod and it being worth the 350 bucks to buy, please state it. Thanks in advance. and everyone's 2 cents is needed.

I had the same results.
...Remember the R is well tweaked from the factory.
The stock exhaust will limit your top-end power.

The header will need cam gear tuning to reach full potential.....your opening up a bottleneck that with tuning can show some HUGE improvements once tuned.

VAFC + fpr + dyno......youll see some nice gains after tuning.

i woudln't rely on how the car felt like - if you want some type of reference, i'd suggest to dyno before/after.. - you gotta have some type of comparison, but a lot of times it could feel faster yet its not.

to dyno would be your best solution , only there you can compare the gains at different points the product that you have install has done ...

Don't trust your butt, eyes, or even ears for that matter. Mine always seem to let me down when it comes to new mods.
