Update on the B16A that will never run
some of you might remember me
i was the one who was putting a B16A1 in a 91 STD
here is a previous post to refresh your memory
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=363400
well i messed with it today & it finally starts to run
the new problem is now it won't idle past 2000 rpm & it takes forever to get that high
it is still reading a code 4 Crank angle sensor
i have checked the wires numerous times
when it does tun i can see some fuel coming out of the open header
Does anybody have any idea of what it could be now?
will this car ever run?

send the harness back and get a place racing harness. i used the place full harness conversion when i put my 1st b18a in and when i went vtec i used their sub harness . everthing runs great . maybe your reading the ecu pinouts backwards. flip them over and star over from there
also you have a std not a dx . the wires at the distributor are different . i`ll try to scan the wiring diagram and send it to you . e-mail me at biggdogg187@comcast.net

does anybody else have any other suggestions
i was thinking the same thing about the wiring harness
i was actually considering buying a new Civic wiring harness from the ECU to the engine already pinned
the thing just won't idle but tit is smokling when it finally does run
but when y ou increase the rpms it will not go over 2000 rpms
i think my next step might be to pull the engine & part out the car
