Should I upgrade to Comptech sway/tie bar ?
Right now I have the Comptech Tie bar with a 22mm sway bar.
It was installed on the car when I purchased it, so beyond that, I don't know anything. I measured the sway bar and it was 22mm. My question is, other than being adjustable, what advantages would I get from upgrading to the Comptech Sway bar/Tie bar COMBO ? I know that with the Comptech, the sway bar actually mounts directly onto the tie bar. I'm just wondering how big of an improvement this would be compared to my current setup.
Thanks.

well the biggest advantage your going to get with the subframe brace is prevention of chassis tearout of the swaybar. it will also aid in handling as well.
Id have to say the money would be far better spent elsewhere on a car if you already have a tie bar and a 22 mm bar. You might notice a small improvement. As to the above post, you shouldnt have to worry about a 22 pulling out of your frame with a bsq type kit that much. If you are running at least a decently stiff suspension that helps a bunch to keep a bar from ripping out.
I have the sway/tie combo and love the improvement from just the sway. I would have to agree with the above posts, you should be fine and spend the $400 elsewhere.
that comptech lower strut bar is dope, i wouln't really bother ging with the swabar/tie bar combo that set up you have on there has a reinforcement kit on it already. it's the little plate behind the bracket that holds in the d bushing. and 22mm i sthe stock type r sway bar in the US. being that it is adjustable makes me feel like it wouldn't be as stiff as a solid mounting oem sway bar, but it probably has its' advantages. keep it it looks good and is a nice combination to have
im all stock in the rear now and i was thinking of going with comptech sway/tie because i read that its a lot less likely to tear out the subframe than just a bigger sway bar alone

just buy a reinforcement it from bsq and make sure you have a stiffer suspension installed. that way you aren't entirely relying onthe sway bar to stiffen up the handling. with that in mind you will never te3ar out your subframe

that site has the mounting brakets au-gsr is talking about. if you dont have something like it, make one yourself or just buy one from him.

does anyone know if you can use the comptech lower tie bar as shown with the benen lower tie bar?
im talking about using the comptech in conjunction with the benen lower tie bar
better to be safe than sorry, and there can never be too much chassis stifness
2 lower tie bars will not make your cars handling too stiff, i was just asking because the comptech bar reinforces in a different location, and i already have the benen bar
Bushings will help more than any other bar you add. You already have a nice rear sway and tie combo. Take off your front strut bar if you have one. Then you will have the oversteer you desire.
