Type R Oil Cooler vs Aftermarket oil cooler ie b&m
Hey there everyone,
I was wondering if you guys were building a motor, would you guys use the type r oil cooler, or would you guys rather use an aftermarket oil cooler such as B&M or whatever else that is out there?
My friend said he rather get a B&M, but im thinking good old oem parts might be better, but im not sure. I'm just curious. How much are teh toehr aftermarket ones out there?
Feedback and your reason from preference please. thank you

I would tend to think that an aftermarket air to oil cooler would be more efficient. It would require relocating the oil filter and mounting, and running good, quality (possibly SS braided) lines to make it a good, reliable install. The oem I'm sure will do it's job with a very simple install.
B&M has an import oil cooler for about $110, but if you got money burning a hole in your pocket then GReddy has one for like $450. Saving the $340 sounds pretty good to me.
