Default Rebuild - seals, bearings, etc..

Hey guys I basically want to piece together my re-build parts before summer or sometime soon. I was wondering if anyone has done this knows how I should go about doing this..

basically I want to replace..

bearings
seals
gaskets
oil pump
waterpump
timing belt (PE enterprise)

Basically I want a fresh block, I was thinking about doing a portflow head or finding an ITR one.

slugs will be oversized JDM ITR pistons, maybe some skunk2 stage1 cams, etc, etc, blah blah.

I just want to piece together the small items right now, so if anyone knows how to go about this I'd appreciate it.

BTW - I went to Acura today and he said ballpark...$2000 for just seals, bearings, etc. Doesnt sound right to me...

thanks guys

1 - 200
2/3 - 150 tops
4 - 100
5 - 60
6 - why?

your dude was blowing you off so he didnt have to look all that **** up.

BTW - with those little cams you dont really need that belt

Engine running+ close valve to piston clearance+ broken timing belt= smashed valves. Thats why you should change the timing belt.

I think Doc C is trying to say that I dont need the PE belt because its a "super strong" belt for the stage 1 cams. He's just looking out

yeah stick with an oem belt, save your loot for tuning costs.

Those parts listed wont run you more than $500 total, I am doing a similar buildup right now. There is a thread in best buys for bearing sets for like $100 or $130 , then hit up a cheap acura online dealer for oem water pump, timing belt and seals / grommets.

Owen,

thanks for the info, mos likely I'll be staying with milder cams now. BTW - are the ACL bearings just as good as a bet as the OEM ones..

Steve ran them in his 11K rpm motor testing them out.
