I like the Mazda 6 a lot too...
anyway, keep on looking. Try autotrader. I finally found mine on there one day...pristine, garage kept (during the day), and a great deal.

Have you looked at the Civic Si? It's performance and price are pretty close to the GSR, but the GSR is a little more upscale.

I'd go for a teg of any model over a civic. To me, they're just a better platform to build off of....... less rattles too

92-95 civic coup or hatch. $2500-$3000. Then throw in a gsr motors $3000-$3500. You just got yourself something better, faster than the gsr.

i dont work, there u go..
i dont want to think about swaps just yet.
just think about integ ls itself
If you're going to buy a non-vtec integra then consider the RS model. It's basically a TypeR minus the engine.
Lightest of all models
I used to have a 1996 RS. It was a blast, and a little more torque than the GS-R stock. Better for around town driving.

If you really like the Teg than buy a ls/rs and swap in a b18c motor and tranny.

New Si.
So as far as the GSR being more upscale, that is a matter of debate.
lol face it i love the civic too, but there is no debate man. talk about being a household name already.. civic:upscale as donkey:luxury-transport haha

So you're saying that the car is more upscale based on a name? Just because it is a Civic don't downplay the fact that the '96-'00 car has a more updated chassis. I guess that is why people will spend 20k more on a Lexus ES300 instead of just buying a Toyota Camry.

It's not really like that w/ Honda/Acura IMO. I mean my favorite Honda is the Prelude(S2k excluded) and my favorite Acura is the teg(NSX excluded). They're priced very similarly, but if one has a price premium over the other it's generally the Honda Prelude.
Uh yes we know. I think you missed the point though. My point was simply that the most common Acuras don't command a large premium(if any) over Hondas the way Lexus' do over Toyotas. I like all 4, I just think in general a Lexus offers the least bang for the buck. To some extent this can be applied to VW/Audi as well.

Same goes for all these extra name badged garbage(except Acura which actually provides upscale cars such as the RL/TL/CL etc.). I mean look at Infinity they sell their entry level G20(Old chassis sentra) for almost 30K
