Or to send my GSR head off to get p/p and milled? Which would be the best way to go? The only thing is that i dont have another car to drive when i send the head off. So i was just thinking on getting the gude head package, just curious on which would be the better buy out of the two..... TIA....

Bump for this. I am also interested. Anyone have any price or performance comparisons?

I can't even begine to tell you how many cars I know that have spent the cash on the gude and ended up with a motor that made less horsepower and was slower than stock. Send it out for p&p if you know what's good

Seriously you would get more horsepower by changing parts out than porting and polishing. From you mods it looks like the internal of the head is untouched.

Whats P&P'ing the head on a GSR get? Maybe 5-7 HP on stock and costs ~$700-$1000. You could beat that with something as simple as a Skunk2 intake manifold, and a set of upgraded crower cams, maybe the 63401's or 63402A's.

Then get the head milled just a tiny bit to clean it off and bump the compression up just a tad, and viola you've probably got 7-14HP at least.

I heard some storys on crower cams breaking before other peoples cars. If i got cams i think i would go with the skunk 2 stage 1's. But yall tell me what you guys think about crower cams and what would be the best thing to do.....

I seriously thinking of going with a DPR stage 6. Its like $2000 but I have heard good things and I need and awsome head for my all out Road Racer. I'm shooting for 220 WHP with 12:1 Compression, Toda C cams, etc on my JDM GSR engine.
