Default shocks for spoon progressive springs.

okay, here's the deal:
i installed my spoon springs about 3K miles ago when my car had 23K miles on it. i know that these springs are "designed" to work with stock shocks but i am also aware of the fact that my poor stock dampers won't hold them forever. i've heard of problems trying to use koni yellows as well -- i would appreciate if anyone could shed a little more light on this problem. my question is: how long do you guys give my stock shocks before they crap out, and what would be a suitable and cost-effective replacement? thanks!

Tony -- i would also go with the Bilsteins. They will be the best bet. Koni's don't work well with Spoon springs as George Knighton and myself have come to find out.

cool -- i guess i'll put "buying a set of bilsteins" on my to-do list. right after "earn $450 for bilstein shocks."
thanks for all your help, everyone.
