Buy a front clip from Japan, then do a conversion. A shop in Beaverton, Oregon did this. I saw the car at S.I.R. two or three summers ago.
Usually with foreign cars, you need to put it through a serious emissions test, and get checked for safety equipment. Each state is different.
I saw a cool 97 Civic HB Type R for sale.....RHD....there a finders fee?? LOL

do you know if its a easy change over , meaning without welding ?
Ive herd that the holes in the fire wall are there in the USDM cars for JDM RHD stuff all you have to do is punch em out and put the rhd parts in it ??
If not i wouldnt want to have to cut up the whole firewall and reweld it back in hehe

my uncle shop down here in new orleans had bought a jdm gsr front clip and welded it to the usdm rear section. laws down here isn't strick as west/east coast. they did a pretty good job on the welding part which is also powered by h22a. ill get pics up soon. also a customer from the navy ship a rhd gs300 (the older model not the bubble eyes) from over seas thats a stock twin turbo. pretty quick
its not a simple task. Lots of work and welding. can be an unsafe car if its not done right....
damn ,
Sounds like it would be easyer to order the whole car
anyone know where i can find someone that imports these cars over complete , with or with out motor .

But why would you want a RHD civic for?????????????????????????????????????
I can understand a car from Japan that is not available here like a SKYLINE.

If you want to put it that way, then what would you want a LHD Civic for? Might as well buy a 300ZX.
It's just something different. And a used B16A Civic in Japan is about 1/3 the cost of a used Skyline GTS.
Plus, you can actually get parts for a Civic here in the US - try calling up Nissan and ordering parts for your Skyline.

Duh to make left hand turns safely. Try doing that with you sitting on the wrong side. You can get a used R32 in Japan for pretty cheap. Not the GTR's though.
So let's say you need a steering rack for your RHD civic what are you going to do flip over a US one and bolt it on?
A RHD civic is just for SHOW
or to deliver mail. I would get very pissed if some one in a RHD civic made a left in to my path because he did not see me from wrong side. I would not give the guy "PROPS" for having the steering wheel on the wrong side in a civic.
the reason im wanting a hatch RHD because in hawaii no one has em or has driven one and i wouldnt mind being the 1st one
as for a skyline Hah i dont have 100,000$ to drop on a car
if i had that i would just buy a house .
Oh yea the roads on the bigisle are mostly lane roads hehe i dont think it would be that hard to drive it here :D

what about fast food drive thru? toll roads?
yeah, usually people just buy the clip and weld. messing with the firewall is HIGHLY dangerous. i'm sure that after a warehouse parts out the motor and crap, u can probably get the clip with all it's rack and whatnot for a cheap price.

I import then and sell them, let me know if you'd like one. res04mbd@gte.net
i have sum1 whos selling a RHD red del sol looks clean as hell..selling for 10k with b16 all paper work is done with bar and dot stickers
registering them is a bitch. u have to know people. i'm telling u. get a shell, and cut n weld. don't mess with the firewall...it shouldn't be that much more than buying a new car. i've seen those with clips welded..they look clean as hell. just refinish or get a new dash.
I got one!! And so have all my mates.
But then again we drive on the right...ahem....correct side of the road hehehe
