Default d16a6 ?s about block and pistons

i want to put the p29 pistons from the d16a1 engine and i was wondering how far i could bore the d16a6 block and if the are any problems with ajusting the timing with the adjustable cam gear with these p29 pistons because of the dome pistons design ... i just dont want any valves hitting the pistions ...thnxs

the a6 bore is 75mm the p29 bore is 75mm they pop right it in, between 11.0:1 and 11.6:1 c/r depending on gaskets etc...

what are p29's? what year motor is that? and what is stock compression on a d16a6? i would like to maybe build a high comp d16a6. cant make up my mind. and that sounds like its one of the easier ways.

Well this is a funny subject. Me and a freind of mine are gonna start buidling hybrid d series motors. We got a couple extra d series vtec heads(2), si heads(3 or 4), pistons cranks, etc. So what we were planning on doing is building up a D series block(dont matter what one), using ZC or Integra pistons and rods, 1.6 crankshaft, and a si head, milled a little, and see what kinda numbers it pushes out, then doing the same buildup but with a vtec head, since the z6 pistons arent domed. But we are planning on doing it once the motor we just rebuilt gets running. We just rebuild a Y8 motor, all stock, but everything internally new. Hopefully it runs strong.

What would be the c/r with the P29 Pistons in the A6 with a Y8 Head Gasket????

I think the P29 Pistons come from the D16A1 which are found in 88-89 Integras

you can also use the PG7 computer or PM7 (i think) ZC ECU. The PG7 comes from th 88-89 integ. as for the intake manifold, i would try and pick up a d16y8 IM and use that. if you wanted to build a high rpm sohc, i would build the 1.5 blocks like the d15b2, and use maybe a VTEC or D16A6 head. other than that..........you dont need a dohc to be fast.
