okay..so my car stars leaking coolant about 2 days ago..and i bring in my car today. after bringing it in..they give me a call about 4 hrs later telling me that the radiator is jacked. they say it isnt under warranty because of the front end damage which happened over a year ago. personally, i think it sounds like BS...if the radiator wasnt damaged in the accident..how could it be jacked now? this should be covered under warranty..correct? let me know what u guys think...

How do they know about the front end damage? If it was damaged, they are gonna tell you to **** off, sorry, but thats how dealershits are. Front end damage=close to radiator, good luck though!

 

Probably has something to do with the JDM front end and modified radiator support.

 

Oh, yeah, well might have something to do with that, i didnt know it had a JDM front, no way the will cover it...

yea..after the accident the jdm front was put on....just cuz its the jdm front they won't warranty it? ghetto...cuz im almost 100% positive the radiator damage wasnt cuz of the accident...

 

Once you change the OEM configuration, you're on your own.

 

Dealerships run on the money they make through service.
Find a good private shop that friends can recommend or start learning to bend over at the dealership.
I Know this does not answer youre warranty question but unless you have some good upfront friends at a dealer they will always try to get the most money they can.
I have had warranty work performed on a car the dealer knew i raced(legally).
It all comes down to who you know.As most good deals in life center on.

Sorry bro they have a solid case on this. I work at a Local Honda dealership and with any type of obvious front end repair seen repaired will not cover under warranty. Oh and btw, even if u bitch and moan cry about you'll lose a customer., dealership can give a rats *** . Dealerships generate enough revenue to turn away "warranty work".

 

Just get a shiny aluminum radiator, they look niiiccee...

And about Dealerships not giving a rats ***, I have to disagree somewhat with that statement. I think it all depends on the dealer because I have had warranty word done that should'nt have been done. For example, I got my Tranny replaced even though it has a aftermarket clutch, flywheel, and pressure plate. So.. I think it just depend on which dealer and if your lucky or not.
