One of these will be going on a set of Lenzo 13x7's. The 24.5's are 8.5 wide and the 25's are 8". Is there any problem putting the 8.5" wide on a 7" wheel? With right around 450whp is it worth while to go with the 25" slicks? One last question. I have to raise the front of my car up about 1.25-1.75" to fit the slicks on. Should I raise teh rear up also to keep the front and rear level.

 

what tranny are you using.. i actually think the 25inch work better.

 

depends on hp and gear ratio but id go for the wider wheel for a bigger tread patch.

 

I'm making between 410-430whp right now and have a gsr tranny.

 

i'd run the 24.5, in your case.

Is there any problem putting the 24.5x8.5 on a 7" wide rim? Will a 8" wide rim fit under stock civic fenders>

 

the 8 inch tire will fit the lenso wheel just fine. I'm going with 24.5x9x13 on my street car.

 

taller makes you hook better than wider.

 

Wider gives you more rolling resistance.

Taller gives you more rollout, but a lower Final Drive.

You gotta see how much the tires grow, also...If you get 25" high growth...they will be more like 26 -27...Low growth...26" prolly.

its actually a 13x7.5. should fit the 8.5 wide slick jsut fine.

 

I was running 24.5 and never realize that I was going to go faster with a 22/9/13 M&H. I do agree that a wider tire is much better.Another thing that counts is to have the proper gearing and the proper HP so that you can move big tires, I only have a 4.78 final drive and running over 250 HP and my car hooks real good I get low 1.5 60 foots.

 

My slicks came in today and I mounted one of them. I'm going to have to raise my car up about 1.5". I also have to swap out my brakes tomorrow to fit these 13's on.

 

what brakes are they? i'm running gsr front brakes on my hatch and my 13x7.5 lenso's fit good.

 

I'm running a fastbrakes setup right now. You have to run gsr knunckles to run the gsr brakes right?

 

i'm running the knuckles on mine. it's an improvement over the vx brakes.

 

Its still going to be a downgrade from my fastbrakes and gsr calipers but I need to fit the 13's.
